First project meeting - Lutowiska 24-25.06.2016
"Astro-tourism in valuable natural places".
The workhsop "Astro-tourism in valuable natural places" was organized at Lutwiska Municipal Office. Warshop was attendet by about 30 persons.
Unfortunately, due to difficult weather conditions (heavy snow) access to Lutwisk was much more difficult and prevented the participation in the meeting part of the invited guests. Planned trip to the observatory on Otryt hill and night sky observations was cancelled also.
In the evening, at Dolistowo pension in Dwernik, held a working part of the meeting. Partners exchanged experiences of astro-tourism, astronomy and tourist offer of the Starry/Dark Sky Parks.
On the second day of the project meeting was held on the study visit in the Starry Sky Park "Bieszczady". Partners of the project can see:
- astro-tourism penssion Dolistowie at Dwernik
- view point at Wyżna pass
- educational center of National Forests at Muczne
- bison farm at Stuposiany
- Information Center of Starry Sky Park "Bieszczady" at Stuposiany
- view point at Lutowiska
At the end of meeting, project partners met in Stuposianach with a group of journalists from Podkarpacie province. After the press conference the journalists together with Slovak project partners left to the Astronomical Observatory in Kolonica, Slovakia.
